Saltwater Fly Fishing
Some good catches were made recently with catching Yellow Tail and Snoek on Fly rod in the False Bay area. We know that some good catches were also made in the Natal Province, but we were unable to gather pictures or info at the moment. This activity results in great fun, and so far big bright colors seems to work the best for the Snoek and Yellow Tail. Poppers and large floaters weight down slightly seems to do the trick, and this December and January we can expect the Elf/Shad as well as the Cob to take to the fly rods as well.
On the freshwater front some catches were reported by holiday-goers in the Orange River region between Vanderkloof and Donkerpoort.
We also received some news of excellent catches in the Ceres and Tulbagh areas.
At the moment we don’t have much info, but we will keep you posted.
